Laser micro-processes

This research concerns the interaction between high power laser fields and materials with the aim to develop some processes for surfaces functionalisation. The work is done in collaboration with IREPA laser. We study mainly two kinds of phenomena :

-the action on materials of laser with small wavelength or short pulse duration

-the interaction between a continuous wave laser and a granular material in order to obtain a material presenting a gradient of properties.

The use of laser processings for the elaboration of silicon based photovoltaic components is the matter of commun projects with the group MECPV.
