Laser micro-processes

Research related to the interaction between high power laser beams and materials aims at developing processes for functionalising surfaces with lasers and relies on a partnership with Irepa Laser. The phenomena studied are of two types :

• the action of short wavelength or short duration pulsed laser beams on materials

• the interaction between a continuous beam and a granular material with the aim of functionalising the material using different property gradients

The use of laser processing to make photovoltaic devices based on silicon is the subject of projects in common with the team MECPV
